HOW THEY WROTE "ARRIVAL"

After you watch the absolutely terrific "Arrival" at the Bijou (starting tomorrow, Friday, November 18) you absolutely have to read this fascinating behind the scenes look at how it was written. The film is, if you didn't know, adapted from a novella by sci-fi author Ted Chiang called "The Story of Your Life," and the adapting screen writer - Eric Heisserer - had to tackle the story's unique setup and make it make sense for a screenplay. It's a wonderful look into how a quality screenplay is assembled, but spoilers abound in this article: Make sure you've seen the film before reading!
