AWW DIP IT'S THE HOLIDAYS, Y'ALL!
O lord what hath we awakened?

We here at the State and Bijou and TCFF take the Holiday season very seriously. We decorate the theaters to the hilt, program just about every Holiday-themed film you can think of, and we get it all started literally the day after Thanksgiving. We on that Christmas Creep for real. Here's what we've got coming up day by day for the rest of this month and into December:

Wednesday, November 30: We've got 1947 black and white classic MIRACLE ON 34th STREET at 10:30 am - Tickets only 25¢!

Friday, December 2: After you watch the downtown tree lighting at the corner of Cass and Front Streets, join us for FREE HOLIDAY CARTOONS! starting at 6:45 pm. Then at 11:00 pm we've got this month's BFF night presentation of BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY as our Friday Night Flick - Tickets $3 or 2 for $5!

Saturday, December 3: Our Saturday Kids Matinee is animated family favorite ARTHUR CHRISTMAS at 10:00 (and a Sensory Friendly Screening at 10:30 am at the Bijou) - Tickets only 25¢!

Wednesday, December 7: It's 1945 black and white classic THE BELLS OF ST. MARY'S at 10:30 am - Tickets only 25¢!

Thursday, December 8: After you've finished perusing downtown for Lady's Shopping Night, join us for BAD MOMS at 7:30 - Tickets only $5 and, because women be shoppin', you'll get FREE POPCORN when you present a Downtown Traverse City shopping receipt.

Wednesday, December 14: 1945 black and white classic CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT at 10:30 am - Tickets only 25¢!

Friday, December 16: You'll shoot your eye out at our A CHRISTMAS STORY MOVIE PARTY at 7:30 pm, where we'll be handing out free soap and giving away a FREE Red Ryder BB Gun to a lucky attendee! Then, at 10:00 pm we've got NATIONAL LAMPOON'S CHRISTMAS VACATION as that week's FNF and Workshop Brewing Co. will be on hand to SELL YOU BEER IF YOU'RE OVER 21 YEARS OLD! We never sell alcohol at our movies to this promises to be a real special evening.

Saturday, December 17: We've got Holiday Classics all day, starting with A CHRISTMAS CAROL (2009) at 10:00 am (Tickets only 25¢!), and followed by quintessential Holiday classic IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE at 1:00 pm, Technicolor masterpiece WHITE CHRISTMAS at 6:15 pm, and LOVE ACTUALLY at 9:15 pm (tickets for those three are just $5 each!)

Sunday, December 18: WHITE CHRISTMAS encores at 1:00 pm, followed by a dive into the uncanny valley with Tom Hanks for our POLAR EXPRESS PAJAMA PARTY at 4:00 pm (your admission includes a sleigh bell, a cookie, cocoa, and an enchanted talisman to keep Hank's terrifying form at bay), and then an encore of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE at 7:00 pm (Tickets for those three are just $5 each!)

Monday, December 19: You will sit on a throne of lies if you miss our annual ELF QUOTE-ALONG at 7:00 pm! Tickets at $10 and include a prop bag filled with everything you'll need for the viewing!

Tuesday, December 20: THE YOUNG MESSIAH at 7:00 pm - Tickets only $5!

Wednesday, December 21: Start your day off with the 1947 black and white classic THE BISHOP'S WIFE at 10:30 am (tickets only 25¢) and don't forget Kevin for our HOME ALONE PIZZA PARTY at 6:00 pm! Tickets are just $7 and include Little Nero's Pizza!*

Thursday, December 22: We've got NOW, HOLD ON, MR. POTTER at 7:00 pm - Tickets just $5!

Friday, December 23: You thought you had escaped him but NO! "Tom Hanks" is back in an encore presentation of THE POLAR EXPRESS at 10:00 am (tickets only 25¢), then it's Danny and Bing back again for another WHITE CHRISTMAS at 7:00 pm (tickets just $5) and then THE NIGHT BEFORE is our FNF at 10:00 (tickets $3 or 2 for $5)!

Saturday, December 24: Wait, are kidding me? THE POLAR EXPRESS again at 10:00 am? That's three times! No talisman can protect us now! (Tickets only 25¢). MERRY CHRISTMAS, EMPORIUM! plays at 1:00 pm (tickets only $5). And we cap the night with the annual UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHRISTMAS EVE COMMUNITY CHURCH SERVICE at 5:30 pm (Doors Open at 5 pm, FREE and open to all!)

Sunday, December 25: Merry Christmas! Spend the morning unwrapping all the Furby's™ you were gifted and place them reverently on the fireplace mantel. Be still. They can't save you now. A train whistle howls from above. The quickening approaches. All aboard. (Offsite; not endorsed by the TCFF.)

Tuesday, December 27: Animated family film KUBO & THE TWO STRINGS plays at 10:00 am - Tickets only 25¢!

Wednesday, December 28: Our final Wednesday of the month is the black and white classic from 1934, THE THIN MAN at 10:30 am - Tickets only 25¢!

Thursday, December 29: An encore screening of animated family film KUBO & THE TWO STRINGS plays at 10:00 am - Tickets only 25¢!

Friday, December 30: Get out the swear jar 'cause we've got DEADPOOL as the last FNF of the year (time to be determined) - Tickets $3 or 2 for $5!

Saturday, December 31: The late great Gene Wilder stars in the 1971 classic WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY at 10:00 am (tickets only 25¢) and then the night ends with our annual NEW YEARS EVE PARTY (time to be determined)!
